I do the face last with wiping only with water after removing the cat from the bath rinse water & totally engulfing the cat in a wrapped towel with just the head showing to work on. Oh, also please remind the cat bather that one must not use dog shampoo as a substitution for cat shampoo. Even in small amounts my vet says it is toxic to the cat.
